tulsa -2½ feature game (reg. play)
9-2 utep ,ranked way better than 4-7 tulsa (not by my rankings thaugh) is getting 2½ pts on the road. no surprise. but it does look tricky if you look at there records and rankings alone. however, my rankings have them ranked very equal right now. and if i look at there strength of schedule, my rankings show a big difference there. tulsa's schedule is in top #100, while uteps schedule is barely in top #200. i guess that explains the records of these two teams.what else is important here ? well tulsa is 12-0 su and 8-3 ats against utep. they won last two home games vs utep by avg. 28½ pts, and they have beaten utep by double digits last four times they met. my rankings have tulsas defense a lot stronger than uteps as well. this is uteps only second road game of the season and first on the road after 6 straight home games. as for tulsa, this is a home comming for them after a two game road trip where they played close games against two teams playing over .500 basketball right now. utep is 1-26 su in there last 27 road games and tulsa is 11-1 su and 7-2 ats lately at home. tulsa is also 14-0 su and 9-3 ats lately at home when coming of a loss.
